Surface App update adds maps to Find my Device feature & more – onmsft.com

The Surface App has just received an update for both Windows 11 and Windows 10 users that bumps it up to version 61.7096.139.0. The new update features This new update unpacks a couple of features, the most notable one being added map support to the Find my Device feature, which is in place to help users locate their device easily. (via Neowin)

Besides that, users can now set the default Pen click app in Pen FRE once they have made this update. And unlike previous updates we’ve seen, the update does not come with the usual bug fixes and enhancements like June’s update, instead, it unpacks the following features as per the changelog:

  • Added maps support in Find My device feature
  • Button color enhancements in Live Chat feature
  • Allow users to set default Pen click app in Pen FRE
  • Added images for color accessories (Type cover and Pens)
  • Added deep links to Surface App from Support KB articles

To get this update, head on over to the Microsoft Store where you will get the latest version of the Surface App. Be sure to update your Surface App to the latest version, to gain access to all these features that will help you improve your user experience.
