If you happen to be a regular user of one of the most popular note-taking apps, Evernote, as well as Status Tiles, a popular app to toggle connections from your Start Screen, head over to the Windows Phone Store as both apps received updates. These updates introduce a couple of new features and enhancements.
As far as Evernote is concerned, the app introduces Post-it Note camera feature for Windows Phone devices. The Post-it Note camera helps Evernote users digitize handwritten notes by capturing a photo of them. Users can also add multiple snapshots to a single note, making it easier to go through. Additionally, it also helps users search images for handwritten text and save it as notes in the app. This can be a very handy feature for those who prefer to take notes with a pen and paper — yes, there are still many people out in the wild who do it the traditional way.

- Snap a photo of a Post-it Note to digitize and enhance your handwritten to-dos and ideas
- Automatically assign notebooks, tags and Reminders to different colors of Post-it Notes
- Add multiple Post-it Note snapshots to a single note

One thing I really miss on Windows Phone is a quick way to toggle connectivity settings such as WiFi, Bluetooth, etc. We’ve seen leaks pointing to the Action Center in Windows Phone 8.1 which will take care of this, but until it’s available, Windows Phone users have to rely on third party apps to do so. Status Tiles is of the best apps available to take care of this task. As the name suggests, it creates live tiles of various connectivity settings on the Start Screen for quick access.
Recently, the app was bumped to version 2.1.1.2 and introduced a number of bug fixes and enhancements. The latest update adds more icons to the list, such as original screen orientation icon, tile to stop music and use camera, along with a bunch of bug fixes and performance improvements.
