Star Wars Battlefront II petition hits 75,000 sig milestone as more gamers want to give EA their money

The Star Wars Battlefront II video game petition, which has been garnering a lot of attention not just from players of the game but gamers in general, has just reached the 75,000 signatures milestone.

The petition, which began earlier this month and quickly collected support from 50,000 fans in its first week, is an effort to encourage EA to begin adding paid downloadable content (DLC) after the promised free updates ended with the recent Scarif update.

Throughout the active life of Star Wars Battlefront II, all content updates have been completely free for all players of the game on all platforms such as Microsoft’s Xbox One consoles and Windows PC. While this has been a positive strategy from a customer relations side of things, it’s always had an expiry date (though unknown) due to the companies involved only being able to make money from sales of the game (and the in-game Crystals currency which is barely used).

Check out this video below for a sample of some of the content that was added for free:

With this petition, fans are clearly stating that they are willing to pay real money for future content updates which could include new additions to the game such as fresh hero characters, new skins, and new weapons.

It is worth mentioning that most of the developers involved in Star Wars Battlefront II have now been moved on to other projects but that doesn’t mean a few could be moved back to BFII for a trial DLC bundle to see just how many gamers would really put their money where their mouth is. At the very least, it would be great to get an update for when the Xbox Series X comes out so that it could take full advantage of Microsoft’s next gen console’s hardware.
