Spotify for Windows Phone now looks more like its Android and iOS counterparts in latest update

Spotify has rolled out a new update to the app on Windows Phone, bumping the version number to 5.0. This isn’t just a minor update either. This update adds a few new improvements, as well as a revamped user interface, now matching the app to its Android and iOS counterparts.

“With Spotify, you have access to a world of music. You can listen to artists and albums, or create your own playlist of your favorite songs. Want to discover new music? Choose a ready-made playlist that suits your mood or get personalized recommendations,” the app description reads. Here are the key features of this new update:

  • Spotify has a bold and beautiful new look: playing your favorite music has never looked so good.
  • Your Music on Windows Phone: helps you save, organize and browse your music collection.
  • Updated Browse feature: delivering even more relevant and localized content.

The biggest change in this update is the “bold and beautiful new look” which now resembles the Spotify Android and iOS app. Basically, you get a darker look with easier navigation around the app. Take a look below for comparison purposes.
