Artificial Intelligence is shaping up to be the next big thing in the technology industry, and there has been an increase in the need for AI engineers across all the tech giants. With that so, Microsoft recently announced the launch of the Microsoft Professional Program in AI, which will provide skills and real-world experience necessary for those looking to improve their skills in AI and data science.

The program consists of ten courses and requires about 8-16 hours to complete each course, coming with the promise of teaching you 10 new skills. All courses are available online and on demand, and each of them features hands-on labs so you can learn and apply the sought-after skills in Artificial Intelligence. Some of the sample topics covered in the courses can be seen below:

  • Learn the basics of Python, including simple arithmetic operations, variables, and data structures. Explore Python functions and control flow, and create your own visualizations based on real data.
  • Learn (or relearn) some essential foundational concepts and the notation used to express mathematical principles like Calculus, Linear Algebra, Probability, Statistics, and Optimization. The course provides a hands-on approach to working with data and applying the techniques you’ve learned.
  • Learn to apply ethical and legal frameworks to initiatives in the data profession. You will explore practical approaches to data and analytics problems posed by work in Big Data, Data Science, and AI.
  • Learn key concepts and techniques used to perform data science; including statistical analysis, data cleansing and transformation, and data visualization with R, Python, and Microsoft Azure Machine Learning.

Those interested in the program can visit this link to scan through the courses for free, but you’ll be required to pay up in the end to receive an official and resume-worthy accreditation. It’s a small price to pay, as the program will leave you with valuable skills, enough to perhaps land you a high paying AI-related job.
