South Park: The Fractured but Whole, the sequel to the Xbox 360 game South Park: The Stick of Truth has now been delayed to Q1 2017. The game is currently in development for the Xbox One, the Playstation 4 and Windows and the Xbox One version was previously expected to be released on December 6, 2016. However, publisher Ubisoft has announced in a blog post yesterday that the game needs to spend more time in the oven:
South Park: The Fractured But Whole will now launch on Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC, calendar Q1 2017. The development team wants to make sure the game experience meets the high expectations of fans and the additional time will help them achieve this goal.

From the creators of South Park, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, comes South Park: The Fractured but Whole, a sequel to 2014’s award-winning South Park: The Stick of Truth. Players will once again assume the role of the New Kid and join South Park favorites Stan, Kyle, Kenny and Cartman in a new hilarious and outrageous RPG adventure.
As of today, the $59.99 title is still available to pre-order and the Xbox One store listing has yet to be updated with the new information. While delays are always unfortunate, we hope that Ubisoft is making what was necessary to not disappoint South Park fans.
