Skype translator preview now available for download on the windows store

If you had previously been interested in Skype Translator when it was first announced as a preview program back in December, but didn’t sign up or never got off the waitlist, there is good news for you.

Today, the team at Skype removed the sign-up process to participate in the preview and Skype Translator is now available for anyone to download from the Windows Store.  In this preview Skype will translate spoken language in English, Spanish, Italian, and Mandarin, and will translate text in 50 languages.

The announcement was made on Skype’s Garage and Updates blog where they also demonstrate an impactful use case of Skype Translator from a non-profit development organization based in New York that provides financial, health and human development services to women in Latin America. If you’re interested in giving the preview a try click the link below and download the Skype Translator from the Windows Store.
