Skype offering free calls to mobile and landline numbers in Mexico

In response to the earthquake hitting Mexico, Microsoft has begun offering free Skype calls to both landlines and mobile phones in the area.

“Our thoughts are with everyone impacted by the earthquake,” the company said in a statement. “We hope this helps you reach loved ones, friends, and colleagues in Mexico.” Here are the area codes included in the campaign:

Mexico City: 55

Morelos: 734, 751, 731, 735, 739, 737, 769, and 777

Oaxaca: 995, 994, 972, 971, 958, 954, 953, 951, 924, 757, 287, 283, 281, 274, and 236
