SANTA BARBARA, Calif, MALAGA, Spain and LONDON, United Kingdom, – December 7, 2010 – Occam Networks®, Inc. (Nasdaq: OCNW), a leading broadband access supplier offering multi-service access platform (MSAP) solutions based on pure packet technologies, has added major Spanish telecommunications specialist Scancom S.L. to its growing list of value added reseller partners across Europe. The agreement with Occam Networks will allow Scancom to add a powerful range of high speed broadband products to its portfolio and bring faster broadband one step closer for many Spanish communities.

Based in Malaga, Scancom has 20 years’ experience in providing telecommunications and fibre networks throughout Spain, including major deployments in Andalucia, Murcia and Extremadura. The company delivers turnkey projects including fibre-to-the-premise (FTTP) networks and business communications services and specialises in the design, delivery and deployment of broadband solutions. It also has a strong R&D ethos, developing bespoke products to suit customers’ needs and working with global equipment suppliers to enhance its product range and networking capability.

Uffe Jorgenson, CEO at Scancom S.L., said, “The opportunities for further broadband development in Spain are enormous, especially in terms of the implementation of fibre networks. Occam Networks’ optical access products will help us close the broadband availability gap while enhancing our ability to offer turnkey FTTP in Spanish communities that are currently not well served by the existing networks.”

Russ Sharer, VP of Marketing at Occam Networks, added, “Spanish consumers, like consumers throughout Europe, are demanding higher bandwidth services, so the potential for growth is enormous. Scancom is a well-established expert and we are delighted to work with them to bring enhanced broadband services to the country. Occam’s focus on a superior customer experience will complement Scancom’s professional approach and improve market penetration. We look forward to a successful partnership with Scancom in the years ahead.”

Occam Networks, a well-established US vendor, continues to build on its value-added reseller network across EMEA, and now works with organisations in the UK, Greece, Switzerland, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovenia, the Adriatic region, Hungary, France, Italy and select areas in the Middle East.
