Samsung teases upcoming Windows 8 notebook (video)

In a new video posted on YouTube by Samsung, we get a glimpse at what appears to be a new Windows 8 notebook by the company. The notebook features a thin-profile keyboard panel and nice dark bezel. Samsung claims “something smart is coming” with this notebook.

“The time is near for the big reveal! Take a look at this video for a glimpse into our newest Windows-8-ready innovation,” Samsung stated on their official YouTube page. Could this be the Series 5 Transformer that Samsung showcased at Computex or could this just be a whole new notebook/tablet designed around Windows 8? If so, this would be the company’s first consumer product based on Microsoft’s newest operating system, Windows 8. Not much is known about this and we expect to hear more on this very soon.

Rumors suggest that it could be this Samsung Series 7 hybrid which was shown in prototype form (images from SlashGear):
