Secret is an app that has been available on iOS and Android for quite some time now, allowing users to share messages anonymously within their circle of friends. Secret has no official app for Windows Phone, but we have been lucky enough to have the 6cret app from Rudy Huyn, the same man behind popular Windows Phone apps like 6tag and 6sec.
Unfortunately, after only being available in the Windows Phone Store for three months, Rudy has taken it to Twitter to reveal that the app is being killed off due to a copyright claim from Secret.
If you utilize the app, you might want to hang on to it for a little while. No word on if Secret is working on an official Windows Phone app. The problem here is that Secret does not have a public API for app developers to utilize. Therefore, Rudy was targeted by Secret for a copyright violation.
Rudy followed up that tweet by stating that he has only earned $180 from 6cret for the three months it has been available, stating that it was not about the money. He adds, “I’ve only earned $180 with 6cret in 3 months #notForMoney.”
