During the Mobile World Congress, Microsoft revealed that the Windows Store now serves four million app downloads daily.  As TechCrunch points out, the Windows Store has grown by 134.6% in app downloads since October 2013. That’s more than 100% growth in less than six months. Comparatively, the Apple App Store averaged 5.5 to 6 million app downloads daily just last year. As of March 2nd, there are 146,813 apps in the Windows Store. While the Windows Store still has a ways to go, this four million app downloads figure is promising and shows that Microsoft can deliver an enticing platform for developers to create apps.
