Redbox app for windows 8. 1 receives update, no change log just yet

Coinciding with the earlier release of the updated Redbox app for Windows Phone 8, the official Redbox app for Windows 8.1 has also received an update. The change log has yet to be published but so far the app seems to have fixed a few bugs.

“The official Redbox app takes your rental experience to a whole new level. Find a box near you, then look inside to see what’s for rent. Find a movie or game you want? Click “Reserve” and check out, and we’ll save you a copy to pick up later that day. Search by release date, genre and rating, and watch trailers. See a list of the closest Redbox locations, and get driving directions to any box in the country,” the app description reads.

Here are the key features of the app:

  • Find your closest Redbox
  • Browse hundreds of DVD, Blu-ray and game titles
  • Watch trailers for the latest new releases
  • Reserve movies and games, and pick them up later that day

Hit the download link below to snag the updated app. Let us know in the comments below if you notice any new features or improvements.
