Red Stripe Deals on Windows Phone

\

Each week the Windows Store and Windows Phone Store feature various deals for apps and games in the ‘Red Stripe’ collection. Every Friday we break down the deals and highlight a few of the more notable apps. This week features ways to keep your passwords secure, zombies, strategy games, and more.

\

\

\

\

\

First up is ‘Toy Soldiers Cold Ward: Touch Edition’ for Windows tablets and PC’s. This strategy game is on sale $4.99 which is 50% its regular price. The apps’ description brings feelings of nostalgia by saying “Superpowers collide in this playful homage to ’80s action toys and films.” It carries a rating of 4.1/5 in the app store and since it’s normally $9.99 it being half off is a substantial discount for an app purchase.

\

Next up is Plants vs. Zombies for Windows Phone. The award winning game from EA comes in this week at $1.49. In it you fight off zombies that are trying to invade your home. The twist is that your only weapons are plants throughout your house. There are four game modes, achievements and coins to collect, and power ups to obtain.

Last up is ‘SecureWord’ for phones, tablets, and PC’s. SecureWord is a password manager that “uses Advanced Encryption Standard adopted by the US Government in 2002.” Most of us have many passwords and having a more secure way to store them can be handy. The app doesn’t have enough reviewers to adequately judge it so it may or may not be worth the $1.49 it costs for the next week.

\

The rest of this week’s deals are:

\

Windows Phone:

\

Shred It! for $0.99

\

\

\

\

\

Sky Cups for $0.99

\

Windows:

\

Special Enquiry Detail: The Hand that Feeds… for $2.99 (free trial)

\

Enterchained for $0.99

\

Both:

\

Doodle Kingdom for free

\

Shiny the Firefly for $0.99
