Receive health information at your fingertips with the official CDC app for Windows 8.1

The official CDC (Center for Disease Control) mobile app for Windows 8.1 makes it easy for you to get health information at your fingertips. The app, which is free, provides timely news articles to help you stay on top of your health.

“The CDC mobile application puts health information at your fingertips. It features important health articles, disease of the week, current outbreaks, popular journals, timely updates, and access to social media. Wherever you go, you’ll have 24/7 access to important and timely health information that you can use to protect yourself and your loved ones,” the app description reads.

The app also offers weekly “Disease of the Week” topic that includes facts, prevention tips, images, videos, and quizzes to test your knowledge. The app also provides news on infectious disease outbreaks, as well as recent articles from CDC’s Vital Signs. 

The CDC app even offers you the ability to read the latest press releases from the CDC newsroom, as well as a multitude of images from the gallery.
