Looking to purchase a Surface RT with either a free Touch or Type Cover? Well, you are in luck! Microsoft has launched a new campaign that offers a free Touch/Type cover, for those in the United States and Canada only.

\

This offer starts 12:00 AM Eastern Time May 31st and ends June 30th and the offer is valid in the United States and Canada only. While there isn’t much detail on what this campaign entails, we are going out on a limb here and guessing that this offer is valid at the online Microsoft Store. The 32GB Surface RT currently runs for $499 and the 64GB Surface RT model runs for $599. The Touch and Type Covers run for 119.99 and 129.99 respectively.

As you can see from the image above, Microsoft made reference to this deal via its Facebook page. Microsoft urged students to convince their parents to purchase a Surface RT for them, since it allows for PowerPoint presentations, OneNote for class notes, full qwerty keyboard via the Touch or Type Cover, video chat abilities via Skype.

\

Keep an eye on the online Microsoft Store beginning midnight tonight, up until June 30th, for this offer.

\

Update: This offer is valid for those in the United States and Canada, via the Microsoft Store or retailers such as Best Buy and Staples. You can either get a Touch Cover, Touch Cover Limited Edition, or Type Cover for free with purchase of a Surface RT.

Thanks for the tip, Jason!
