PSA: Stay away from Windows 10 activators, the Technical Preview is free to use

Since Microsoft introduced Windows 10 to the world, the software giant has made its intention and commitment to user feedback very clear. The launch of the Windows Insider program along with the Windows Technical Preview is proof of that. Microsoft started collecting user feedback in the very early stages of developing its next flagship OS, so it made development builds available to Insider for free.

Scammers have taken advantage of this by trying to convince potential users that Windows 10 is currently a paid OS and thus requires activation for those unwilling to purchase a license. Activation programs have been released with the promise of fully activating Windows 10 and even unlocking some hidden features. These are of course scams designed to steal user information, so, needless to say, stay away from them!

Here’s a question that’s bound to cause some controversy: Considering that these activation programs are mainly released to help people pirate Windows, do you think they deserve to have their private information stolen, is it karma in action? Let us know in the comments below.
