Preapps

PreApps, a service that is open to both Windows platforms as well as other popular app platforms such as iOS and Android, has forged a partnership with Microsoft allowing Windows app developers to interact with potential customers while developing their app.

In essence, PreApps lets developers showcase their app, offer an estimated release date, and offer screenshots, all while building buzz and gaining feedback from potential customers. The basic account lets a developer post screenshots, description, Beta versions of the app, and elicit feedback from potential customers. Of course, all this comes with a price. The Boston-based startup is offering developers until April 11th to snag a “free upgrade” to a User Feedback account that runs for $24.99 (This package contains controls for managing user interaction and access to the page’s traffic statistics and other analytics.) Other packages run for $49.99 (Featured package) and $99.99 (Featured Elite package) and offer custom surveys and the ability to showcase the app on the website’s featured section. So far, PreApps has three apps listed in their Windows 8 section, with hopes of having more apps showcased. If this interests you, check out PreApps.com and watch the promo video below!
