Pokki Menu Windows 8

Pokki Menu, for those that dont know, is a third party application that allows you to have a Start menu and Start button on Windows 8. Now, the makers of this application, have announced that Pokki Menu has been downloaded over 1.5 million times. This begs the question, do 1.5 million users want the Start menu/button back in Windows 8?

“Since the launch of Windows 8, we’ve seen over 1.5 million Pokki downloads on the new OS itself and users opening the Pokki Menu an average of 10 times a day. These early numbers demonstrate that users enjoy being able to instantly access and discover apps, straight from the desktop,” Pokki stated in a blog post.

While many reports are claiming that there are over 1.5 million people wishing to have the Start menu/button back in Windows 8, we think it has more to do with curiosity from Windows 8 users. Perhaps they simply wanted to try out the application to see if it is useful. How many of these 1.5 million downloads resulted in uninstalls? Guess we will never know!

Pokki has also released an update version of its Menu software, which includes a refresh layout and design, as well as an optional Windows taskbar button. Hit the source link to grab the software if you are interested in checking it out.
