Pandora now available for Windows Phone 8 – onmsft.com

Windows Phone 8 users now have a shiny new app that’s all their own. Pandora, the popular internet radio service, has officially arrived for Windows Phone 8. No longer left out, starting today, listeners in the US, Australia, and New Zealand can download Pandora for Windows Phone 8 from the Windows Phone Store and listen ad-free until the end of the year.

The app, especially designed for the Windows Phone 8 platform, is the only version with a live tile that allow Users to see what’s playing, and easily access the features and apps where they spend most of their time. Users can pin their favorite personalized radio stations right to the Start screen of their phone to see what’s currently playing, and have easy access to recently played stations without having to launch the app.

Parents will be especially pleased that the app is specially designed to automatically filter explicit song content whenever the app is launched from the “Windows Phone 8 Kid’s Corner” option; allowing them to share Pandora with the entire family.

Pandora, which offers music choices in all genres, and allows users to create up to 100 personalized “stations”, has more than 140 million registered users, and is the industry leader in internet music services. Already available for Android and iOS users, the app joins Spotify on the Windows Phone 8 platform, and enhances the profile of quality applications in the Windows Phone 8 Store.
