An official slack app for windows phone is 'currently in development'

For those that didn’t know, Slack is a popular platform for team communication. It allows everything in one place, instantly searchable, and available wherever you go. While Slack is an amazing tool for collaboration, there is just one downfall — there is no Windows Phone app.

Slack is currently available on iOS, Android, Mac, Linux, and most recently Windows desktop. Now, it appears that Slack is already developing a Windows Phone app, according to the company’s website which states, “An app for Windows Phone is currently in development!”

Last June, Slack put out an announcement looking to hire a Windows Phone developer and it seems like they have found someone! For those of you who utilize Slack as part of your company’s requirement for online team collaboration, you can finally set aside that throw-away Android phone. Let’s hope we see this official app make its debut soon. More on this as it develops.
