An official Dropbox app is finally coming to Windows Phone

An official Dropbox app is finally coming to Windows Phone

Over the years, there have been a number of third-party app developers that have simply refused to bring their apps over to Windows Phone, usually citing a lack of market share when confronted about the matter. Dropbox was one of those developers, until today.

\n

In light of a partnership between Microsoft and Dropbox that will see tighter integration of the cloud-based storage provider in Office, Dropbox has also vowed to bring their app to Windows Phone in an official capacity. It shouldn’t be too hard to accomplish considering they already have a Windows 8 version.

\n

The official app will be available in the “coming months”, but we all know that that’s open for interpretation. Looking at you Vine and Instagram. So in the meantime, you could opt to download Rudy Huyn’s CloudSix client to satisfy your Dropbox mobile needs. We’ll be sure to keep you updated when the app hits the Store.
