Acer reportedly working on four new Windows Phone handsets

Acer is not a new name when it comes smartphones, even Windows Phone. The company did launch a few Windows Phone devices in the past, but they weren’t as popular as the company expected them to be. With those things aside, a new rumor suggests that Acer is working on a number of new Windows Phone handset, four to be exact (via PhoneArena).

actually, Acer has FOUR new Windows Phones coming. Launch probably at IFA 2015.

— Roland Quandt (@rquandt) July 29, 2015

The news comes from Roland Quandt from WinFuture.de, who believes the Taiwanese company is working on four new Windows Phone handsets, which will launch in the coming months. He further mentioned the devices are expected to see the light of the day at IFA 2015 in Berlin, which is set to take place in the first week of September.

The details about what they will offer, including their specifications and price tag, are still scarce. However, there’s a possibility that these handsets will come pre-installed with Windows 10 Mobile. Microsoft is also expected to launch the Windows 10 Mobile later this year, and to release it to OEMs “this summer”.

We’ll update you as soon as soon as we hear anything more about the handsets.
