Notion Ink's CAIN 2-in-1

Intel and Snapdeal announced Notion Ink’s CAIN 2-in-1 tablet at a press event in New Delhi earlier today. The tablet is exclusively available from Snapdeal, one of India’s largest retailers, with a Rs. 19,990 (almost $328) price tag. The tablet comes with an Intel Atom Processor Z3735D clocked at 1.83GHz with 2GB of RAM on board.

Rohan Shravan Founding CEO Notion Ink said “Notion Ink Design Labs believes in thoroughly studying and understanding user experience and developing a solution for it. The CAIN 2 in 1 powered by the Intel Atom processor is a result of the same philosophy and delivers a unique value proposition of rolling two devices into one sleek form factor without compromising user experience. “

Notion Ink’s CAIN 2-in-1 tablet comes with a 10.1-inch IPS LCD display with a 10-point capacitive touchscreen and a resolution of 1280 by 800 pixels. To make sure there’s enough juice, the tablet features a 7,900 mAh battery, which the company claims can provide seven hours of video playback, and 10 hours of web browsing.

There’s 32GB of storage on board which can be expanded to 32GB via a card slot, and runs Windows 8.1 as its operating system pre-installed out of the box. The tablet weighs 635 grams, and features Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, 3G connectivity, USB 3.0 port, miniHDMI and a 3.5mm audio jack.

The CAIN tablet comes with an integrated magnetic keyboard, giving users the ability to use it as a mini laptop as well. Best of all, customers also get one year of free Microsoft Office 365 subscription.
