Nokia updates Video Upload, Access Point and Cinemagraph apps

Nokia Access Point

Nokia has pushed updates to a trio of its applications for Windows Phone devices, including Video Upload, Access Point and Cinemagraph. The updates bring a few new features and enhancements to improve the performance of the apps.

Let’s just start with the Nokia Video Upload app. For those of you who don’t know, The app lets Lumia users easily share videos with their friends in a few simple taps. “This app helps you to share your videos quickly and easily with your friends, and works for all videos shot on Nokia Lumia phones with Windows Phone 8. Simply select the video in the Photos app and share, or upload after capturing and trimming with the Nokia Video Trimmer through share option,” the app description reads. The latest update bumps the app to version 2.0, and introduces support for more devices, as well as the ability to shoot longer videos of up to 15 minutes.

Second in the list is the Nokia Access Point app. The app give users the ability to manage operator settings for internet and MMS. It also received an update, bumping it to version 3.9.2.19, and comes with an operator settings updates as well as improvements.

Last but not the least, Nokia Cinemagraph is exclusive to Lumia devices, and lets users create cinemagraphs. “Nokia Cinemagraph is a magical blend of photo and movie-like animation, creating pictures that seem almost alive. Take a photo, landscape or portrait, and helpful on-screen assistance lets you easily select the animated area of your picture to create your very own cinemagraph. The end result is enchanting,” the app description reads.

The latest update bumps it to version 4.1.1.5, and gives users the ability to export cinemagraphs as GIF files. Here’s a list of enhancements and features introduced in the latest Nokia Cinemagraph:

  • export cinemagraphs as GIF files
  • location data for better integration with Nokia Storyteller
  • general performance improvements
