Nokia Treasure Tags

We tend to forget our keys and sometimes other important belongings when we rush out the door. Well, worry no more as Nokia has unveiled its latest gadget accessory dubbed as Treasure Tags, which will make sure you never forget any important item at home when you head out of your house or office.

Nokia Treasure Tags measure 30 x 30 x 10mm and weighs only 13g so it should not create any extra weight in your pocket while traveling. The device is small and can connect to your phone via NFC or Bluetooth. There is also an accompanying app for Windows Phone handsets that goes by the name of Treasure Tags, which can help you keep track of your belongings and locate them if misplaced. The Treasure Tag comes with a battery life of up to six months, and can be replaced using a coin size cell on the back of the accessory.

When you pair your device for the first time, you’ll be asked to download the companion app for your device. So, if you leave the item with the Treasure tag attached to it, you’ll get an alarm on your smartphone as well as the item, reminding you about the forgotten item and vice versa. Even if you have misplaced your item, the application will help you locate it using HERE maps.

You can use up to four Treasure Tags connected to your Lumia device, which can be assigned ready-made icons to each item so you can easily find the stuff you have left behind.

The Treasure Tags will hit retail in four different colors, including cyan, yellow, white, and black, and users interested in them have to shell out €24,90 ($29.90). The accessory is expected to hit the shelves in April globally.
