Nightwing joins Batman in upcoming Batman Arkham Knight game for Xbox One and PC

Batman Arkham Knight is almost upon us and for those of you who are fans of Batman, you will be in for a treat with this new game. Arriving June 23rd of this year, Batman Arkham Knight introduces “another member of the Bat Family” who helps Batman in the fight for Gotham.

According to a teaser trailer, Nightwing will be involved in some manner in Batman Arkham Knight — although details about the character have yet to be revealed. Will he be a playable character in free roam, or is he a part of a cutscene? Will Nightwing be working alongside Batman? All we know is Nightwing will be a part of the game.

This is the finale of the Arkham series where the hero faces the ultimate threat and has to protect Gotham from evil villains. Nightwing, Robin, Catwoman, and Azrael are all returning as characters for the final Batman Arkham installment. We’ve embedded the short teaser below showcasing Nightwing.

“Batman: Arkham Knight is the pinnacle game of our hugely successful franchise, and we are giving players the most expansive, impressive title in the series. The Rocksteady Studios team is continuing to focus on the excellent gameplay for which they are known while delivering a thrilling new experience for gamers and Batman fans,” said Martin Tremblay, President, Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment.

Batman Arkham Knight will take place in Gotham, one year after the events that took place in the earlier game, Batkham Arkham City. Once again, the hero has to protect the city from evil villains, such as Penguin, Scarecrow, Two-Face, and Harley Quinn. The game also features Rocksteady Studio’s uniquely designed Batmobile. This is the first time in the series players will be able to drive the vehicle.
