Nextgen Reader v6 is here. Brings UI tweaks, new features, and performance improvements

\

Nextgen Reader has quickly made a name for itself as one of the best, if not the best, news and RSS readers on Windows and Windows Phone. If the name is new to you, Nextgen Reader is powered by Feedly (which picked up where Google Reader left off), and works by aggregating news from your favorite news sources. The app comes packed with features that make it easy for you to manage and share your news feed. Today Nextgen Reader gets a significant update, introducing a host of new features and UI tweaks.

\

Along with a new logo, Nextgen Reader version 6 is now Universal, so you can purchase it once, and continue to use it on all your Windows-based devices. In addition to that, the app now has better support for larger displays, utilizing every corner of the screen on phones like the Lumia 1520 and 1320 (see comparison below). Sharing articles is now integrated into the OS, allowing for cross-app communication such as sharing directly to the Reading List app, and among other performance improvements, the app is now better optimized for low-memory devices like the Lumia 520, making for a smoother reading experience.

\

The Windows 8 version will also be receiving a similar update to level the feature set. Nextgen Reader v6 has just been published to the Store, although it might not be available just yet as it makes its way through the servers. Follow the download links below to get your hands on the app.
