A massive amount of new content was just announced for the popular Star Wars Battlefront II video game during Gamescom 2019.

\n

Coming later this month, players of the game can look forward to the addition of the Separatist Dreadnought and Republic Venator capital ship locations making their way to Heroes Versus Villains as playable levels, some improvements to the second phase of Capital Supremacy, a new Contextual Spawning system that will allow players to spawn on locations in addition to teammates, three new B1 Battle Droid appearances, and the unlocking of the Geonosis Droid appearance on all locations.

\n

In September, Star Wars Battlefront II is due for a major update that will add the new planet of Felucia to Capital Supremacy, a new four player online co-op mode, a new single player large scale combat mode, the Clone Commando as a new reinforcement, and a community event to unlock a fresh A New Hope skin for Luke Skywalker.

Details were vague on content for October through December, but it is confirmed that even more appearances will be added during this timeframe, an option to choose Star Wars era-specific content will be added to the main menu, and a new, unnamed, planet with new, unnamed, reinforcements inspired by The Rise of Skywalker is in the works.

\n

As with all new content for Star Wars Battlefront II, all of these new additions will be completely free for all owners of the game on Xbox One. Specific details on the Capital Supremacy changes and the Clone Commando reinforcement can be found here while further information on other changes and content will be announced closer to their release.

\n

Star Wars Battlefront II is a massive game that features a variety of modes and content from across the three main Star Wars movie trilogies and related media. The game is currently selling on Microsoft’s Xbox One consoles with a 70% discount, bringing its price down to just $7.49 for the next 6 days.
