CRN awards recognise NetApp for second consecutive year

LONDON, UK. 19 November 2010: NetApp was recognised by the channel industry as Vendor of the Year 2010 at last night’s CRN Awards. The company was celebrating for the second consecutive year having been named Storage Vendor of the Year in 2009.

“We are delighted to receive this award, which is the ultimate accolade for vendors from the channel. We see this as recognition of NetApp’s commitment to driving business success for partners by delivering industry leading support and leading technologies that deliver efficient, flexible and future ready IT for end-users,” said Pete Rawden, Partner Sales Director UK & Ireland, NetApp. “Understanding our partners has informed the structure of our Partner Programme and the way information and knowledge is shared, enabling our partners to most effectively source, position and sell NetApp solutions. This award proves that our strategy is working and gives us a mandate to continue to build on this success.”

In addition to being named Vendor of the Year, NetApp was also celebrating the fact that it was shortlisted in the Storage Vendor of the year Category. NetApp has also been shortlisted in the Innovation in Data Centre Consolidation category for the Data Centre Leaders awards for its work with Nottinghamshire Healthcare Trust. Winners will be announced in December.

“We would like to extend our sincerest thanks to everyone at CRN. The channel represents 70% of NetApp’s total UK business and attracts over 100 new customer accounts every quarter. This award shows that we have not only heard but listened to partners needs and as a result offered tools and increased the volume, breadth and depth of customer relationships,” said Rawden.
