Over the past year, we’ve seen a number of small Windows 8.1 tablets come to market from practically all of Microsoft’s big-name Windows OEM partners like Dell, Acer, HP, Toshiba, and Asus, as well as some of the lesser known brands like Linx, iView, and XOLO. Today, we have a new tablet from Lenovo.
Succeeding Lenovo’s current MIIX 2 tablets is the MIIX 300 announced at Mobile World Congress 2015. The MIIX 300 will have an 8-inch 1280×800 300-nit display, an Intel Atom “Bay Trail” quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage that’s expandable via MicroSD, and up to 7 hours of battery life. A one-year Office 356 subscription is also bundled so you can get productive immediately right out of the box.

“The tablet’s premium IPS WUXGA screen makes it an ideal platform for getting work done, like emailing, video conferencing and showing digital content, while also making more fun tasks such as watching a movie or online video more enjoyable. Powered by an Intel AtomTM processor, it has the essential features users expect with a tablet capable of doing real work, including up to 64 GB of internal eMMC storage, a microSD card reader for transferring media, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, dual cameras, and long battery life. And the Ideapad MIIX 300 looks good, too with its Platinum Silver finish,” the company stated in an official press release.
The Lenovo MIIX 300 will be available in July and will be priced starting at $150 and of course will be upgradable to Windows 10 once Microsoft’s upcoming OS is released.
