msnNOW Beta for Firefox released, shows you the latest trends in your browser’s sidebar

msnNow

msnNow, a service Microsoft launched over a year ago, is now available as a “sidebar” for your Mozilla Firefox browser. For those that don’t know, msnNow is a cool way to track what’s trending on the internet in real-time based on a combination of social signals, algorithms, and editorial insights.

“Now Firefox users can stay up to date on the social conversation and emerging trends via a glance-able sidebar on the right hand side of the screen. If you see something interesting, simply click on the headline and you be taken to msnNOW where our expert editors provide key insights on why it’s trending, if it’s true, what people are saying about it and where to find out more,” Microsoft stated in an official blog post.

The sidebar requires that you have Mozilla Firefox 21 Beta installed in order for you to see what’s trending on the right side of your browser screen. This feature allows you to see real-time trends from Twitter, Facebook, Bing, YouTube, and other social media sites.
