Firefox 20

Mozilla Firefox 20, which is currently in Beta stage, is set to go final in a few weeks. But what exactly is new with Firefox 20? Lets take a look at a new feature that aims to increase your security and privacy.

Firefox 20 features a “per window private browsing” and a new download manager. The new per-window private browsing feature is simple, all you do is select “New Private Window” and a new window will open without saving any search, download, or web form history, as well as no cookies or temp files will be saved. Similar to Chrome’s Incognito mode. The new download manager is now displayed in a much nicer overlay. You still, however, have the old-fashioned downloads window if you prefer it. Firefox 20 also features the ability to close hanging plugins, without the browser hanging along with it. Firefox 20 will also offer to reset the Awesomebar search provider, if it has been changed by third-party software or through about:config. There is also much needed performance tweaks across the browser. Hit the source link for the release notes or hit the download link below to try out Firefox 20 Beta.
