Windows 10 for phone

Microsoft still hasn’t given us a concrete date for the launch of the upcoming Windows 10 preview for phones, but that hasn’t stopped a number of screenshots from leaking to the public ahead of an official launch, giving us a good look at what we can expect when the preview does land.

The screenshots reveal a few new things which we haven’t seen before, including a new sound recorder app, built in file manager and more.

Windows 10 for phones

Screenshots of the lock screen settings panel have leaked too, revealing a UI much like the one found on the desktop Windows 10 preview. It definitely looks like a number of these apps are universal, something we’ve been waiting for for quite some time now.

Windows 10 for phones

Windows 10 for phones will launch in preview mode sometime this month, with support for a number of 512MB RAM devices too. Windows 10 for phones is the companion OS to Windows 10 for desktops. In this release, they share similar code and share the same universal apps.

Stay tuned at WinBeta for more Windows 10 news!
