Minecraft

The developer Mojang, has stated on their website that they’ve sold just over 20 million copies of the incredibly popular game: Minecraft. Furthermore, the company sold 10,364 copies in just the last 24 hours! The total figure across all platforms tops an amazing 70 million copies.

In a tweet, Daniel Kaplan, business developer at Mojang thanked the legions of game fans:

20 million copies of Minecraft PC sold. Thst is crazy. Thanks everyone for supporting us <3 and thanks for stickning with us for so long!

— Daniel Kaplan (@Kappische) June 30, 2015

These figures illustrate what a sensible decision it was for Microsoft to buy the game company in Nov. 2014. Not a company to rest on their laurels, Microsoft has discussed further plans to bring the game in to the “holograpic” world.
