Minecraft Xbox E3 2017 Briefing

Minecraft announced today that they’re looking for your help in redesigning its iconic menus for the Bedrock Engine based games (Minecraft on Xbox One, Windows 10, VR, mobile devices and Nintendo Switch). To help you along with putting your design ideas down on paper, Minecraft is offering four Paper Prototyping Kits, available in four variations, which you can get here:

  • Console Kit
  • Phone Kit
  • Desktop Kit
  • Tablet Kit

The kits provide some templates for sketching out your Minecraft menu ideas, and some ideas to get you started. Once you get a design you like (and no, you don’t have to use the kits, you can design your own on paper or a “fancy app of your liking”), you can upload it (if your 13+ yrs old) to Minecraft’s Discord Channel set up just to share menu ideas.

Can you do better than Minecraft’s current menus? Have some fun and design your own, and share your work once you’ve come up with the perfect UI.
