Minecraft Earth video game’s final app update is now live on Android and iOS devices

The final update for the Minecraft Earth mobile game is now live on iOS and Android smartphones and tablets.

This last update brings the app to Version 0.33.0 and effectively boosts the entire game so that players can progress through it and level up at a much faster rate before Minecraft Earth goes offline later this year.

Crafting and smelting times have been reduced, drop rates have been increased, and build plate store costs have also been reduced. A large number of new mobs and variants have also been added to the game.

Here’s the release notes:

New Stuff:

  • Super Season
  • Reduced build plate store costs
  • Reduced crafting times
  • Reduced smelting Times
  • Increased rare item drops in Tappables and Adventures
  • This will be the final scheduled update for Minecraft Earth

New Mobs and Variants:

  • Fuzzy Sheep
  • Cream Cow
  • Sooty Pig
  • Freckled Rabbit
  • Long Nose Sheep
  • Gold Crested Chicken
  • Dairy Cow
  • Mottled Pig
  • Umbra Cow

Bug Fixes:

  • Various bug fixes

Minecraft Earth will continue to function until June 30th this year. The announcement was made earlier this morning and didn’t really come as too much of a surprise to those that had been following the game over the past year or so as it’s been very clear for a while now that Minecraft Earth simply hasn’t had the popularity that its developers had hoped for.
