Microsoft's latest advertisement during The Walking Dead mid-season finale features OneNote and Surface

Last night was the mid-season finale of The Walking Dead on AMC. For those that did not know, The Walking Dead is an extremely popular cable drama series on AMC and is based on the comic book series. The show portrays life following a zombie apocalypse.

Microsoft has been somewhat involved in the hit show with advertisements for the Surface tablet being showcased in almost every recent episode. What better way to promote your product than showcasing an advertisement of it during one of cable’s most watched series?

\

In the video advertisement, which we have embedded below, we are shown a couple who are in the middle of the “apocalypse.” The couple is stranded in their vehicle looking to make a safe exit, with hoards of “walkers” all around them (this resembles the holiday shopping rush). The man eventually wakes up from this nightmare and sees his wife next to him shopping for the holiday season on her Surface tablet. Thanks to a combination of the Surface tablet and the OneNote app, shopping can become stress free!
