Xbox stage at E3

Yesterday’s ‘Day Zero’ of E3 featured plenty of buzzworthy announcements, especially on the Microsoft front. The entire Microsoft portion of the day is rather long and while entertaining, many people may not have the time to view it in its entirety. Luckily, Polygon has shortened down Microsoft press conference to an 8 minute highlight reel.

For a more comprehensive breakdown you can check out our feature on what we know and what we can’t wait for from Microsoft’s E3 press conference. Here’s a short list of some of the major high points that you’ll see in Polygon’s shortened video and our coverage.

Backwards compatibility: Over the next few months, hundreds of Xbox 360 will be natively playable on the Xbox One.

Elite Wireless Controller: a new high precision customizable Xbox One controller is on the way this fall.

Halo 5: Guardians Warzone: Up to 24 players will be able to play multiplayer on massive maps.

Minecraft for Hololens: Minecraft will be playable from walls to tabletops with Hololens.

Rare Replay: A collection of greatest hits from Rare arrives on August 4, 2015.

Xbox One Preview: Similar to preview gaming on PCs, users can try out Xbox One games still in development.

There’s loads more coverage and more on the way so stay tuned to WinBeta for the latest gaming news.
