Microsoft has released significant updates to Visual Studio, Team Explorer Everywhere, and Visual Studio Tools for Unity. These new improvements are based on developer feedback.

Visual Studio 2013 Update 4 CTP 2 is now available. CTP stands for ‘Community Technology Preview’ and is basically another way to say ‘beta.’ This update offers performance improvements to the Visual C++ browsing experiences and fixes various bugs. The Team Foundation Server is also updated with a plethora of improvements in charts, pull requests, web access, and more. You read the full release notes here and get the update here.

Microsoft has also released Team Explorer Everywhere 2013 Update 2 (this is a stable release). Team Explorer Everywhere is an Eclipse plugin that allows cross platform collaboration. The update adds capabilities such as letting you browse Git repositories from within Team Explorer Everywhere itself. The update also makes signing into Visual Studio Online easier by improving how Team Explorer Everywhere stores credentials. You can read more about this update here.

Last, but not least, Visual Studio Tools for Unity (VSTU) 1.9.1 is now available. VSTU is a free add-on to Unity, the game design studio, that enhances the programming and debugging experience.  This update is also the beginning of the incorporation of SyntaxTree. You can read the full change-log here.

If you’re a dev, you can send feedback through UserVoice or the Visual Studio Connect site (in addition to in-product feedback).
