Microsoft’s Newest Advertisement: ‘I Was Going To Get A Mac, But Macs Still Don’t Have Touch Screens’ – onmsft.com

Microsoft takes on Mac with latest Windows advertisement

Microsoft has been releasing quite a few advertisements the past couple of weeks, comparing Windows devices to rival products. Today, the company managed to take on Apple’s Mac with a new video titled Honestly Wedding Planner, in which an actress plans her upcoming wedding and just happens to take a shot at an Apple product.

“I was going to get a Mac, but Macs still don’t have touch screens, so I got a new Windows All-in-one,” the woman states in the video. Why is the all-in-one better? It’s easier to use than passing around a small tablet when she’s with a couple of friends. She can find a wedding dress on Pinterest, the perfect wedding band via Bing search, and share her ideas in the cloud via OneNote. She ends the video by saying that she can do that with a Windows tablet, allowing her to stay on track with her budget and plan her wedding much more efficiently.

Either way, this is a bold statement to make. Microsoft is now taking the fight to the Mac. We’ve embedded the view below for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy!

Editors note: An earlier version of this report incorrectly suggested that the Windows AIO PC was a Sony VAIO Tap 21. The device used in the video appears to be a HP Envy Rove 20. Thanks Erik for the mention!
