CeBIT 2013, which is currently taking place in Hannover Germany during March 5th to March 9th, is the world’s leading high-tech event showcasing digital tech and telecommunications solutions. During CeBIT 2013, Microsoft showcased the Surface tablet and it drew quite a bit of a crowd.

Microsoft showcased the Surface Pro during the event and it actually drew quite the crowd, proving that the Surface Pro has generated a bit of interest outside the United States. According to our correspondent, the Surface Pro was fast and responsive. Many onlookers who were able to get their hands on the Surface Pro felt it was nice but were not too fond of the weight of the device (which weighs two pounds) based on the remarks they were making while fiddling with the device. The Surface Pro is expected in Germany in the coming months according to Microsoft, but based on the response the device got during the CeBIT event, it looks like there is quite a bit of demand for the device. Germany can expect to see the Surface Pro in stores in a few months. “We are happy to be able to tell you that Surface Pro will be heading to Australia, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, New Zealand and the United Kingdom in the coming months. We will follow-up with another blog post with more details,” Microsoft originally stated. Take a look at some of the Surface screenshots we snagged during CeBIT 2013:
