Microsoft Surface Pro 3

Microsoft has released the 12-inch Surface Pro 3 in 25 additional markets, which brings the tally to 28 markets across the globe. If you’re based in the UK, you can get your hands on the Surface Pro 3 starting today. The tablet starts at £639 for the Core i3 model, and goes as high as £1,649 for the top-end model.

The tablet is available through Microsoft’s store as well as PC World, John Lewis, Argos, and other popular retailers in the region. Customers can also pre-order the Touch Cover from the retailers as well. Those of you who already pre-ordered their tablets should get them today or tomorrow. Here’s the complete pricing for the Surface Pro 3:

  • Intel Core i3, 64GB, 4GB RAM – £639
  • Intel Core i5, 128GB, 4GB RAM – £849
  • Intel Core i5, 256GB, 8GB RAM – £1,109
  • Intel Core i7, 256GB, 8GB RAM – £1,339
  • Intel Core i7, 512GB, 8GB RAM – £1,649

Microsoft Surface Pro 3 rocks a 12-inch display sporting a resolution of 2160 x 1440 pixels, an option to choose from Core i3, i5 and i7 processors, up to 8GB of RAM, and offers various storage options — as high as 512GB SSD. There’s a 5MP front and rear cameras on board, as well as a battery which Microsoft claims can provide up to nine hours of battery time. On the software side, it comes with Windows 8.1 Pro as its operating system.

In the meantime, you may want to check out our unboxing and first impressions of the Surface Pro 3. Our in-depth review of the tablet will be up soon, and we’ll soon find out if it’s really capable of replacing the laptop as Microsoft touts. Stay tuned.
