The software giant has today released The Halo Channel app for Windows 8.1. As the name suggests, the app will serve as a hub for all new Halo content, including programs such as Halo 4: Forward unto Dawn and Halo Nightfall. The app description reads:

Some of the key features of the app include live streaming original content and games, timely news updates, and Twitch integration. The viewing experience is personal and interactive, and sharing content is a breeze across social networks.

The app also include the ability to unlock exclusive in-game content for upcoming Halo titles, all you have to do is enjoy what the app has to offer in terms of the original Halo programming, entertainment, trivia, and by participating in interactive polls.

The Halo Channel app also features tight integration with the Xbox One console and you can sync your Windows 8.1 device to the console to use as a second screen, or use one device to seamlessly continue watching content where you left off on the other.
