Microsoft Releases Bing Desktop 1.1, Now Comes With Windows 8 And Windows Server 2012 Support – onmsft.com

Microsoft has recently updated its Bing Desktop application for Windows to feature support for all operating systems after Windows XP, including the recently released Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012. The best part of this application is the ability to set the latest Bing homepage image as your wallpaper.

“Over the years, many of you have let us know that you wanted an automated way to enjoy the Bing homepage images as a Windows desktop background. With today’s release of Bing Desktop v1.1, we are updating Bing Desktop to make it even easier for you to do just that. We are expanding support to all people using Windows (Windows XP and higher) and adding support for an additional 4 languages,” Microsoft stated in an official blog post. Users now have the ability to go back to the prior 9 days of Bing homepage images and set a favorite image as the desktop background. Not only can you search Bing easily, but you can now stay updated with highlights of the top news, videos, images and popular now topics within the search bar.
