Surface RT

Along with the announcement that Surface Pro (powered by Windows 8 Pro) is set for release February 9th, Microsoft has also announced that the Surface RT 64GB model will be available with no Touch or Type cover for a cool price of $599. This is great for those who wish to purchase the cover separately.

“Surface Windows RT will be available in a new 64GB standalone version for an estimated retail price of US$599 to allow customers the option of selecting a Cover of their choice,” Microsoft stated in an official announcement. There will also be three new Touch Cover Limited Editions in red, magenta, and cyan with an estimated retail price of $129.99.

Microsoft is also allowing customers the option of purchasing a Wedge Touch Mouse (Surface Edition) for the price of $69.95, available in the same markets the Surface is sold, with more markets coming soon.
