Microsoft has just launched a new unified support site which should make it easier for users to find support and troubleshooting resources for Microsoft 365. In an effort to make the platform more inclusive, the company is bringing a series of improvements to Windows release notes, the Windows update history pages, as well as related resources.
As seen in the screenshot below, Microsoft is introducing a new URL structure for Windows release notes, which will now include the knowledge base (KB) ID. This change will let users find support articles by KB ID when using the search engine. There are also some under-the-hood changes for users who use different tools to find support articles using metadata.
Furthermore, Microsoft is also adding convenient share controls at the bottom of all support pages to make it easier for users to share them on social media platforms, including Facebook and LinkedIn.
Needless to say, this is quite a welcome approach, especially for power users who often need to look for technical information about Windows updates, troubleshooting guides, and more. However, you may need to wait a couple of months to see these enhancements, as they will begin to roll out to the general public in the coming weeks.
