Microsoft makes it easier to get sexual assault help resources using bing

As a partner of the ‘It’s On Us’ campaign by the Center for American Progress, Microsoft is getting involved in taking action against sexual violence, particularly in college where 1 in 5 women and 1 in 16 men experience some form of sexual assault.

Microsoft has, as a result, made access to resources related to sexual assault easier to get to using the company’s Bing search decision engine in hope of both preventing assault and offering support to victims. In addition to presenting contact information to the National Sexual Assault Hotline, Bing seems to also be prioritizing curated search results to local sexual assault aid centers.

Microsoft will be working with the Obama administration, who have recently called for a stop in sexual violence in colleges and universities, in addition to businesses and the public to put an end to this life defining crime.
