For the past few months, Microsoft has focused on the entry-level and mid-range market, and launched a number of pocket-friendly smartphones running Windows Phone 8.1. In case you can’t recall, the software giant apparently has another handset in the pipeline — the Lumia 435. The alleged device was spotted some time back at the FCC, and is expected to be yet another budget-friendly smartphone to come out of the Redmond labs.
Now, the device in question was certified by Brazil’s regulatory authority ANATEL which is equivalent to FCC in the United States. What’s strange is that ANATEL documents calls the device Nokia Lumia 435 despite that Microsoft is using its own branding now — Lumia 535 was the first device to come with it.
A lot of details are not yet known about the handset, but previous leak suggests that Lumia 435 will come in both single-SIM and dual-SIM variants, and will be a 4-inch device flaunting a resolution of 854 by 480 pixels, a quad-core Snapdragon 400 SoC, and a 5MP rear camera for photos and videos.
There’s no word as of now about the launch of the handset, but the company may launch some new handsets, including the alleged Lumia 435 at the Mobile World Congress 2015 in March.
