Microsoft launches 'MacBook to Surface Pro 3' website to help Apple fans make the switch

Microsoft has silently launched a new website that helps Apple MacBook users make the switch to Surface Pro 3. The website is straightforward and offers basic Windows tips, answers to various questions, how to move your content to your Surface, and how to use your Surface with your iPhone, iCloud, or iTunes account. Here is a little snippet of what the website states:

Whether you’re considering Surface Pro 3 or have recently purchased one, we want to say thank you! We designed Surface Pro 3 to make you more productive in every aspect of your digital work and life. We’re truly humbled you’re here, and we’re excited to see what you do with your new Surface.

Computers, and the memories you keep within them, are incredibly personal. We know moving these memories from one platform to another can be nerve-racking and learning new software can seem daunting. We want to make the transition as easy as possible. If you currently have a Mac and have questions about switching to Surface Pro 3 and Windows, we designed this site to help get you started.

Interestingly enough, this website (located at www.microsoft.com/en-us/switch/mac-surface) does not showcase any taunting advertisements that Microsoft seems to be so fond of. The website is very basic and offers details for new Windows 8.1 users, as well as step-by-step instructions for moving documents, music, and more from Apple’s ecosystem to Microsoft’s ecosystem.

Microsoft previous campaign against Apple was the ‘Winter Wonderland’ video advertisement, in which the Surface Pro 3 goes up against the Macbook Air, showcasing why Microsoft’s offering is a better choice. It is more of a taunting advertisement than anything, but it ended up obtaining more than six million views on YouTube.
